Well i've finished the first of what I hope to be many of my new secret 7 series. The idea is simple. I find a random 7" of my choosing, then do a cover version of that song. Then I make some sort of silly packaging of the two and people can buy it off my website. Most likely it will be in very limited quantity (ie 1) unless I can find more copies of that 7", but i'm getting ahead of myself.
So, the first secret 7 is of Lou Reed's perfect day. I think I really outdid myself with how terrible this is. I'm rather pleased overall. I will be updating my site soon with more but am very excited about the possibilities of this. http://www.autumnonacid.com/perfectday.mp3

I seriously think slurpee technology has gotten way out of hand...the flavors are much too intense (mountain dew orange blast)...the cups are enormous (44oz!!) and the straws have morphed into sour warheads flavored straws....then of course there's the slurp and gulp...which I am still a bit baffled by.
I am currently drinking a 28oz frozen coke and mountain dew cherry mix. It's good.
Life is good...

I went to go see Pirates of the Caribbean with Julie last night. Really good movie. Johnny Depp is a fairly fantastic actor, he seriously made the entire movie worth it.
While normally i'm a big fan of trailers/previews before a movie...I have to say that sitting through a million previews for Disney movies was a bit much. They seriously need to quit putting out shitty movies, or at the very least just put them on their stupid cable channel and leave the rest of us alone.
It's bad enough that they're all smug that a decent movie was based on a freakin ride at Disney world. What's next...tea cups the movie?
I'm eating Thai food at the moment (Rhama Thai from Roong Petch) and it's very tasty. Shortly i'm going to go to two art showings this evening. Aren't I just Mr. Fancy Pants?

Ok seriously, i'm all for special editions, limited pressings, alternate tracks, fancy packages...etc.
I bought the special editions of both Kid A, and Amnesiac; they're pretty cool, if not troublesome to store.
However, the new special edition looks like complete crapola. The songs are great, but lyrics are pretty weak and packaging is utter poop. Therefore I am resisting my extreme consumerism and i'm buying the damn regular edition. Let the masses think they're cooler than me by buying the special one..so be it.
So far in the two days I have worked since the album came out, I have been asked a mere 5 times if we have the special edition, which of course we do not, because we all know 2nd hand tunes is always hip as can be.
-word to all my radiohead freakos-

Ok this is quite upsetting. Next weekend is the Field Day Music Festival in New York, and my ride just fell through. So, basically now I have to pay for a ridiculously expensive plane ticket, and then find some way to get from the airport to the show site. They suggest renting a car, but I highly doubt my credit is good enough to rent a car. If anyone has any quick suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm even considering hitch hiking. Somebody has to know some friends that I can meet in some random city to get a ride to the show with!!!
Help a brotha out!
